Epic is a digital library for students with over 40,000 titles. As students read books, they earn badges and their reading progress is tracked. Students can also take quizzes on books and have some books read to them as the words are highlighted. Epic also has educational videos on books, authors, and other topics like how to cook. Epic is free for elementary teachers. Teachers can go in, create a class, and send students access codes that they can use to log into their classrooms and download books to read. Teachers definitely have free access to the resources through June 30th. It is unclear if the resources become paid after that for teachers. Parents can also sign their children up for 30 free days. After that, the resource costs $7.99 a month. It is much cheaper if teachers sign up students than if parents do it. There are books in Spanish as well as English.
