Read Naturally is a researched-based resource for school, teachers, and families to improve reading achievement. Read Naturally approach to reading improvement is through teacher modeling, repeated reading, and progress monitoring. Their strategy aims to improve fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary. It also allows students to take responsibility for monitoring their own progress. There are a few different options through Read Naturally including Read Naturally Live, Read Naturally Encore II, and One Minute Reader iPad App. This is a great intervention resource for special education programs and RTI implementation. Spanish translation is available.
If you do not get this program through your school, it can be a bit pricey. They are offering a free 60 day trial. The app is free to download, and you receive a story from each level. If you want to have access to all of the levels and stories within each level, you will need to buy the bundles. The price for in-app purchases of each bundle is currently $19.99. Read Naturally Live is available for grades 1-8. It provides students access to live support while they are reading. It also support fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary improvement.
